Greve, Florence, Tuscany, ItalyThis sangiovese, canaiolo blend comes from Lamole in the commune of Greve in Chianti at 470 - 655 meters. The sandstone galestro soils with bits of limestone (alberese) are the perfect medium for the optically sorted fruit. The finished wine is aged 24 months in 30 to 50 hectoliter casks before the final blending and bottling. The nose is violets with balsamic and forest floor, and the palate is wild berries with some weighty muscularity and a mineral underbelly.
