Howling Bluff Pinot Noir Three Mile Creek 2021

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe vines are a mix of clones 115, 667, and 777, and are among the oldest on the property at 22 years. Three Mile Creek Pinot gets a two day cold soak to extract colour and a bit of texture without accumulating alcohol. Three weeks later, the wine is pressed off into French oak barrels for 18 months. The wine is remarkably fresh, pitching juicy, tart, cool red fruit led by sour cherry and raspberry. The underside is savoury and earthy, with more acidic fruit on the finish. The acidity will scare some, but you can help this wine out with pork or duck. Ready to drink now through 2027.Tasted: 27 July 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
