Domaine Oinea Amyndeon Lune Rosé Extra Brut 2020

Amyndaio, Makedonia, GreeceDomaine Oinea is a remote gem in the small mountainous town of Amyndeon, in Macedonia, protected by a mountain range full of conifers, lime trees and chestnuts. This blend of 98% xinomavro and 2% Limniona comes from limestone soils and biodynamic, ungrafted vines in Macedonia's Amyntaio, at 650m. This trad met fizz spent 12 months on lees prior to disgorge with 1.3 g/L in January 2021. Brisk and dry, this very pale rosé streams wild strawberry, pink grapefruit along a crunchy palate, lit with limestone which reverberates on the finish. Quite striking and unique, very well handled, and certainly a wine of place.Tasted: 22 July 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
