Swartland, Coastal Region, South AfricaLubanzi was founded in Cape Town in 2016 by Walker Brown and Charles Brain, alongside winemakers Trizanne Barnard and Bruck Jack. Half of their annual net profits are shared with their growers through the remarkable and impressive Pebbles Project. From 20-year-old dry-farmed chenin in Swartland's granite and shales, this chenin was native fermented and aged for a short time on lees. Gently ripe and waxen, with flax, honeysuckle, and pear caressing a medium palate with gentle spicing and shining acidity.
