Jean-Claude Boisset Les Ursulines Bourgogne Chardonnay 2020
Burgundy, FranceGrapes from across Bourgogne (in the hot 2020 there was a lot of northern Yonne fruit) makes up this young white, with vines averaging 25-45 years on clay and limestone soils. This was native fermented in barrel, where it remained for 7 months (10% new) with no bâtonnage. Bright lemon, yellow apple leads into a lees-decked palate, with a kiss of perfumed white flowers and a slick of stony spice that lingers on the finish. A lovely entry into Bourgogne.Tasted: 02 June 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:QC | $25.05 | 750ml | SAQ |
