Tuscany, ItalyThe organic sangiovese is a mix of four sites in Radda in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti, Tibuca, and Le Noci, averaging 500 metres above sea level over marl, limestone and clay. Perfumed and definitely on the red fruit side, pitching cherries and raspberries with the requisite acidity for life and earth and leather for complexity. Simple yet polished, it is an excellent example of when less is more. Drink or hold; there is no rush.
