Garzón Single Vineyard Petit Verdot 2020
Garzon, Maldonado, San José, UruguayGarzon PV is fermented in 80 HL concrete tanks before ageing in untoasted French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months. This petit verdot weighs in at 14.5 percent alcohol, although you don’t notice it, given the balance of this wine. The nose is fragrant and filled with sweet black cherry. The attack is light-footed with more dense black fruit and dense, highly refined soft tannins. This is the hallmark of Alberto Antonini wine, the famed Italian consultant who helped shape the harmonious Garzon lineup. Rich and intense, this is a winner from front to back.
