Tuscany, ItalyFrom the hills of Gaiole, this Classico is a classic mix of sangiovese and a few native grapes that spend 12 months in oak and stainless steel. There is something about the simplicity of this wine that gives it its charm, running along a rich bed of black cherry and a silky savoury undercurrent. There is a tinge of tannin to disperse, otherwise, this is good to go with grilled chicken or a chinghiale pasta.Tasted: 30 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:

Tuscany, ItalyFrom grapes at 500m at Tenuta Perano, in the hills of Gaiole in Chianti, this CC is based on sangiovese, with some native grapes blended in. All aged one year in a mix of stainless and barrique. Dark, dusky black cherry, dark raspberry, ferrous notes rule the medium palate, wrapped with long, lightly grippy tannins and kissed with baking spices. This harmonious CC is drinking very well now, ideally with roast lamb / tomato sauced dishes.Tasted: 24 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:
