Château du Trignon Rosé 2022

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceThe Roux family acquiered the Château du Trignon in 1896. Since then 5 generations have refocused the farm on the vine and expanded the estate across a number of appellations in the Rhône. In 2006, the Quiot Family, active in wine since 1748, acquired the estate, expanding it by 10 hectares of Vacqueyras and few hectares of Beaume-de-Venise. This rosé of cinsault, grenache, and syrah grew in a mix of pebbles, clay, and limestone. This was direct pressed and cold macerated over 1 day before heading to stainless for ferment and brief aging. Pretty strawberry blossom, red apple, ripe gooseberry stream along a silken palate, with an easy swell of acidity, and dusting of fine pink peppercorn and mandarin peel on the finish. Polished, and easily likeable, this is one to watch for this summer.Tasted: 16 June 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
