Canter Field Blend 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Canter Field Blend combines co-fermented sauvignon blanc and chardonnay based on a traditional Cheverny blend in the Loire Valley. Winemaker Bertus Albertyn has put together an elegant white wine using no oak but hinting at blackcurrant fruit aromas and flavour over a mineral base. The fruit is handpicked from selected vineyards, whole bunch pressed, settled, and cold fermented between 11°-13° C. Interestingly, the press wine is barrel fermented in used French oak.
