British Columbia, CanadaIn 2021 there was no mourvèdre available for the blend, leaving it a 61/39 grenache/syrah mix, or a more southern Rhône style. There is a little less gravitas and a little more smoke this year. On the palate, it is a dry peppery affair with plummy, meaty tannins and a dry aftertaste. The wine was aged for 16 months in neutral oak barrels. The grenache comes off the Cawston East Slopes in the Similkameen; the syrah is grown on the home Cerquiera Vineyard.
