Okanagan Hills Estate Reserve Pinotage 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSurprisingly dark in colour with a somewhat dirty, black fruit nose, the attack is rich and peppery with plenty of blackcurrant, dried figs, and a smoky tobacco underside. A fair bit of oak is throughout, whose weight makes for a long, smooth, silky, spicy finish. Much good here, but the front end needs some work to clean up the nose, especially given the price tag.
