California, United StatesInteresting to taste this alongside the Nederburg Winemasters cab that sells for about $15 less. The grapes come from across California and reflect the style. Ripe, at times confected, with raspberry and black fruit that dries out as it moves across the palate, finishing short. An introductory red that needs a price cut.Tasted: 07 September 2023Tasted by: Prices:

California, United StatesGrapes from across the state, including (and certainly not in this order) Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Monterey, Mendocino, and Lodi, go into the 815 Cabernet Sauvignon. Sweet and ripe, with a confected kirsch, chocolate cherry, and candied raspberry on a short palate, finishing abruptly with a pasty note, jolted by the bump of RS on the palate. A very made wine, without any sense of place or grape.Tasted: 12 May 2023Tasted by: Prices:
