Garnet Valley, Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaGarnet Valley Winery makes its debut with this pinot noir under its moniker, signalling it will be a standalone entity moving forward under its license in 2023, while remaining with the same owners and winemakers, namely Christine Coletta, Steve Lornie, and Matt Dumayne. Half of the grapes were pressed stems and all, fermented in concrete, and aged in a mix of neutral barriques and concrete. Earthy, dark forest floor penetrate the black cherry. The textures are surprisingly dense and lush with a modicum of tannin yet to disperse. Bright and edgy, this is a very modern version of Okanagan pinot noir replete with a touch of savoury desert scrub. Pork, duck, or salmon all work here.Tasted: 05 May 2023Tasted by: Prices:

Garnet Valley, Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAs has been the case with Okanagan Crush Pad / Haywire of late, this wine has undergone a rebrand, losing the Haywire name altogether, and relaunched under the new Garnet Valley Ranch label. This pinot noir included 50% whole cluster, fermented in concrete, and aged in a mix of neutral barriques and their own homemade concrete tanks. Dark earth, forest moss swirls with cherry, dark raspberry, and dark cocoa, with a gently humming texture to the fleshy core. Acidity becomes bright, and tannins are fine and lightly sticky, hugging this softer, lighter pinot to a gently spiced finish. Enjoy with a slight chill.Tasted: 02 May 2023Tasted by: Prices:
