Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Black Sage Bench's Coyote Bowl vineyard, and its sandy gravels, this syrah was aged 18 months in French barrels (45% new). Rafts of cracked black pepper ride waves of ripe cassis, blackberry, and black plum, framed with plush, lightly sticky tannins. The warming finish is laced with fragrant baking spices and roasted coffee.
