Blasted Church OMG 2018
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2018 OMG is all estate fruit from the Skaha Bench. The blend is 60/40 pinot blanc/chardonnay, the former bringing plenty of minerals and lean green apple, while the latter is more about weight and richness of textures, flushing out the palate. It was hand harvested, whole cluster pressed, and fermented separately. After several trials, the final blend of the base wine was assembled and put into a bottle for secondary fermentation. It then spent 48 months on lees in the bottle before being hand-riddled and disgorged. Fresh, lean, and only beginning its life, this is one to look forward to through 2025 and beyond.
