Mendoza, ArgentinaThe winery'e estate vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley are transitioning to organic. This is a big, savoury malbec sourced from vines 20-90 years old, growing at 1100-1200m in over 100 blocks. Post fermentation, it is aged for one year in 40% older wood. Again, intense floral violets is mixed with a slightly underripe mix of dark plums, cherries, and licorice with a somewhat acidic back end and tannin to dissipate. At this point, you can play the acid off richer, creamier dishes to add some balance to this youthful wine.Tasted: 18 February 2025Tasted by: Prices:

Mendoza, ArgentinaThe malbec is fermented and aged 12 months in oak (60% new). The colour is opaque purple, with tarry, floral notes and intense blackcurrant on the palate, supported by youthful tannins through the finish. There is some freshness in the back end to balance it all but this red will need three to five years more bottle time to settle in. Barbecued ribs with a sweet sauce might be able to handle it now. The fruit is sourced from estate vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley, with vines that span 20 to 90 years of age, planted at 100-1200 meters above sea level.Tasted: 09 March 2023Tasted by: Prices:

Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom estate vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley, this big, savoury malbec is sourced from 20-90 years and 1100-1200m vines. This was fermented and macerated for 3 weeks before aging for 1 year (40% in older wood). Potent and dense violets, black currants, tar attack the entire palate, with a swell of ripely sweet vanilla and candied florals sticking to the finish. Tannins are ample, tuggy, and ripe, and thankfully acidity is lofty as there is a lot to manoeuvre through here. This youthful wine will benefit from air time and/or time in bottle before partnering with your sweet sauced ribs.Tasted: 11 April 2023Tasted by: Prices:
