Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalFrom the Douro, this moscatel galego was macerated and fermented in stainless prior to aging 3 years in older oak barrels. Pouring a golden walnut hue, this waxes the palate with maple, butterscotch, salt roasted hazelnuts, and candied orange peel. The sweetness is countered by a swell of citrus acidity, taking this to a gently warming finish.
