McWatters Collection Harry's Apera 2011
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBright amber gold in colour, this sherry-like wine was made with the winery’s 2011 Chardonnay, aged in neutral French oak barrels. The same wine was distilled and used for fortification. Showing a much riper nose than typical sherries, it offers dried apricot and candied citrus peel drizzled with caramel. There’s salted almond layered with a touch of sweet vanilla, hay, and subtle bruised apple. The creamy mid-palate leads to a savoury, nutty finish with some sweetness.
