Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaSelección is a polished malbec thst opens with a stony, floral, mineral nose that previews a fresh, balanced, Next Generation, high altitude malbec. Black plums, blackberries, and cassis are balanced by the tannins and acidity, creating a long, complex finish. The flagship fruit comes from the famed Alluvia Vineyard in Gualtallary, 1,350 meters above sea level. The vines are head pruned and grow out of a rocky, ancient stream bed, hence the strong mineral connection. It is native fermented and aged in new French oak barriques for 24 months.
