Côte des Bar, Champagne, FranceFrom a single plot of old vines (as demarcated on the label), this is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Blanc. This was disgorged in December 2020 with 6 g/L. Showing its age, this is quite impactful, showing a burnished yellow hue, with Rainier cherries, red and green apple, yellow pear, wilted florals, and deep wet chalk on an expansive palate. Very structural, with an evident aged parmesan note on the saline finish.
