Megalomaniac To Be Franc Cabernet Frank 2019
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaFrom their estate vineyard, this was handpicked over 4 stages, with each tranche fermented separately and rested 6 months in barrels prior to the final blend. Post blend, it returned to barrel for a year's rest (23% new wood). The wood is super evident upon first whiff, with toasted spices and cedar and vanilla. That's all quickly absorbed into the concentrated red cherry, plum, and baking spices on the dense palate.
