Leyda Garuma Coastal Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThis coastal sauvignon blanc comes off two of estate vineyards: El Maitén, located 12km from the Pacific Ocean; and El Granito, situated just 4km from the sea, and one of Chile’s most extreme vineyards. The various plots, clones, and soils (granite and clay) provide layers of flavour and freshness. Destemmed fruit was partially macerated with skins in the press prior to joining the other freshly pressed juice. It was fermented and rested on lees in stainless. Brisk and bright, with ample asparagus, guava, passionfruit, and tangerine on a buoyant, saline, and stony palate, lashed with marine salinity.
