Domaine Loew Gewürztraminer Ostenberg 2019
Alsace, FranceFrom Ostenberg's Muschelkalk (hard grey limestone, high in Mg) soils, this is a highly perfumed and finessed gew, with a savoury flintiness pervading ripe gooseberry, pear, peach, lime blossoms, soap, stretching across a subtly waxen, amply silken palate. The stony savouriness provides a welcome counter to the grape's inherent exuberance, resulting in a welcome 13.4%.
