Four Shadows Rosé 2022
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWilbert and Joka Borrens own Four Shadows Winery and a hefty 17 acres of a vineyard near the entrance to the Naramata Bench. Once a source of grapes for other wineries, the family has set about their winemaking journey with some direction from French-born, Okanagan-based Pascal Madevon of Osoyoos Larose fame. The style of this pink is sweet, led by intense candied strawberries and taffy apple notes that spill onto the palate and run through a soft finish. Many will love this rosé served solo and well-chilled on a sunny patio, while others will pair it with spicy pork ribs or chicken drumsticks to tone down the sugar.
