L'Ouverture is the introduction to Freddy's range, with three vintages of Pinot Noir from Écueil's sandy soils, native fermented and aged in a mix of stainless and barrel before heading to bottle. My bottle was disgorged in October 2023, with 3.5 g/L. Red fruited throughout, with wild cherry, fragrant raspberry, and crunchy red apple strung across lightly toasted meringue.
