Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard River Vino de Parcela Malbec 2019

Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe River Stones parcel of Adrianna is, in fact, an old river bed full of large round stones covered in calcium carbonate. The stones offer optimal drainage and work with extreme temperatures, whether heat or cold, and maintain either during the night. Altitude is considerable in Mendoza because as you ascend into the Andes, the average temperature decreases, and the amplitude between day and night increases. That action is an acid preserver that gives the wines freshness and long life. Adrianna Vineyard sits at 1366 meters and is only 1.4 hectares, covered in scattered limestone and marine deposits that covered the ocean floor millions of years ago. This is a typical malbec in that it is dry, seriously floral, and fresh with a texture and length that speaks to its complexity. While you can find some black cherry, it is more about savoury black olive and forest floor, often found in Tuscany. Drink or hold, there is no rush.Tasted: 24 February 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
