Meyer Family Vineyards Chardonnay Stevens Block Old Main Road Vineyard 2021

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine always delivers. Expect a tightly wound, lemon scented chardonnay with a palate full of fresh green fruit and pear, all with a reductive, creamy, spicy bread dough undercurrent. The acid is bright and palate cleansing, pulling you back to every sip. An excellent match for grilled halibut with fruit salsa. Drink or hold. Stevens Block is named for co-owner Janice Stevens-Meyer, and it comes off Naramata Bench Old Main Road Vineyard vines, and French clones 4 and 5, dating back to 2006. It is farmed using organic practices and made with unobtrusive winemaking. It is a whole cluster ferment where the free run juice is natively fermented cool over six weeks in stainless before resting in older French barrels on lees for ten months and going through complete malolactic fermentation. Great value here.Tasted: 02 February 2023Tasted by: Prices:
