Meyer Family Vineyards Chardonnay McLean Creek Road Vineyard 2021
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom their estate McLean Creek Road Vineyard, in OK Falls, this Chardonnay comes off a steep sandy and gravelled loam site, planted in 1994, between 320-380m. After a long, cool partial native ferment in stainless, this transferred to French oak (22% new) for MLF and 11 months on lees, sans bâtonnage. This was unfined at bottling. Toasty spices pervade this bright chardy, cloaking green apple, pear, river stones, white blossoms, and a finish of bacon fat and cracked nutmeg.
