Domaine Font de Notre Dame Côtes du Rhône 2020

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceBased at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, Domaine Font de Notre Dame is run by two brothers, Frédéric and Boris Roux. They produce only red wines from their 30 hectares of vineyards, which are spread over five southern Rhône appellations. This Côtes du Rhône blends sustainably farmed 60% grenache, 30% syrah, and 10% carignan from vineyards in Sablet and Séguret, as well as Roquemaure. It was vinified and aged in concrete vat. An alluring fragrant wild raspberry, boysenberry, and cherry open this medium red, laced with bright limestone-laced acidity, scented with scrubby garrigue herbs, and bound by long, fine tannins through a saline finish. Lovely purity and freshness here, drinking beautifully now and over the next few years easy.Tasted: 06 January 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
