Alsace, FranceThe Trimbach family has a lengthy history in Alsace, growing vines since the 17th century. The estate is now in the capable hands of 12th generation brothers Pierre and Jean Trimbach. These sylvaner vines, averaging 55 years, grow on the limestone marls of Weinbaum, a small .8 plot in Ribeauvillé. Bone dry, this slender white charms with elderflower, lemon balm, lime pith, pear skin, river stones, along a subtly buzzing underlay which stretches long on the finish.
