La Crema Monterey Chardonnay 2021

Monterey County, Central Coast, California, United StatesThe Monterey AVA consists of a long valley stretching from the uniquely cold Monterey Bay to the far Southeast reaches of the Salinas Valley. An ever-present breeze and maritime influence cool vast expanses of rolling vineyards. The fruit comes from multiple sites, including the Gravelstone and Clark estate vineyards. It was a long growing season with a continuous marine layer most of the year, save for a few heat spikes that served to ripen the fruit to perfection. The harvest began on October 10, ten days later than 2020. Look for fresh, bright fruit, and freshly baked apple streaked with tangerine and orange. The palate is juicy with more Asian pear, Meyer lemon and pineapple, with a mineral saline underside. Intriguing and more new wave than you might expect. The alcohol trips out at a modest 13.5 percent. Food friendly and ready to drink.Tasted: 05 December 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
