Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Odyssey sparklers from Gray Monk get lost in the BC sparkling scene, but they remain wines that overdeliver for the price. The balance of fruit and tension is outstanding, the palate is creamy and soft, and the persistent stream of bubbles agitates a lovely yeasty bread dough undercurrent. Oh, and it's pink too, so there is that attractive red berry fruit to attract a wide crowd. Delicious and affordable, this is one to check out.Tasted: 21 December 2022Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is one of my favourite wines from the Gray Monk portfolio, and it really overdelivers for the price. It's surprisingly elegant and poised, with generous red berry that's accented by cream and subtle autolytic character. It's quite expressive, and just about perfectly balanced in a style that is approachable yet still serious. Most importantly, it's just plain delicious.Tasted: 30 December 2022Tasted by: Prices:
