Bartier Bros. Brut (Disgorged 10/07/22) NV

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the first sparkling release from Bartier Bros., and it is a winner. The nose is B.C. vibrant, offering up orchard notes of red apples and peaches. Time on the lees had added a creamy texture with flinty, brioche aromas and flavours that carry through the finish. Fresh, elegant, light and food-friendly, the Bartier teams say you should think outside the box for pairings like buttered popcorn with truffle salt, truffle chips, risotto, creamy pasta, or macaroni cheese. Technically the chardonnay is hand-harvested and whole-cluster-pressed. Post ferment, it spent four months in stainless steel and 12 months in bottle on lees, en tirage. Initial vintage 2019, with portions of these vintage and subsequent vintages held back for blending to keep the continuity of style from vintage to vintage. It is 100 percent chardonnay made in the traditional method with no dosage added.Tasted: 01 December 2022Tasted by: Prices:
