Wien (Vienna), AustriaFrom Fritz Wieninger's masterpiece site, Ulm, this classic field blend of Pinot Blanc, Neuburger, Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, Sylvaner, Zierfandler, Rotgipfler, Traminer, and Riesling is from 75 year old vines, and planted in the fossil rich limestone soils of Nussberg, close to the Danube and bordering Vienna. It was native cofermented and aged in 80% stainless, 20% Slavonian oak for 1 year. Pear skin, green apple, apple blossom stream along a tight palate, with ample buzzy limestone minerality stretching long, finishing with a saline wash.
