Vidal-Fleury Cairanne 2019

Cairanne, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceEstablished in 1781 in the Northern Rhône, Vidal-Fleury is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Rhône. This Cairanne, from the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, blends grenache, syrah, and mourvèdre. The parts were separately native fermented in a mix of stainless and wood, and remained for 10 months prior to the final blend. Black raspberry, cherry are lined with a stony underlay and carried with a bright acidity. Tannins are ample, but well knit, taking this to a warming, spiced finish. Drinking smartly now, ideally with roast veg / pork dishes.Tasted: 15 November 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
