Palliser Estate Om Santi Vineyard Chardonnay 2021
Martinborough, Wairarapa, North Island, New ZealandOm Santi is Palliser's original vineyard on Martinborough's (now Wairarapa's) Terrace, with 10 meters of river gravels for these chardonnay vines to root through. Native fermented in oak, this blends 75% Clone 15 with Clone 95, with 12 months in barrels prior to bottling unfined and unfiltered. Rich and concentrated, leading with lemon curd and peel, verbena, crisp white peach, and butter, all licked with flint and lingering with mouthwatering salinity. Great concentration for its 13.5%, something that NZ seems to excel at.
