Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2013

Champagne, FranceMoët sums up its Vintage 2013 as autumnal, chiselled, and energetic, reminding us that each Grand Vintage is unique, expressing the cellarmaster's interpretation of the year. In this case, it's the 75th Grand Vintage in the history of Moët. In a cool year known for its chardonnay, 2013 is a 41/38/21/ blend of chardonnay, pinot noir, and meunier, and after seven years of ageing and another six months in the cellar after disgorging, it is ready to drink. There is a tinge of gold in colour and a mature nutty honeyed nose. The palate dances with energy and harmony, mixing ripe red and green apples drizzled in citrus with a long, lingering, saline finish. They've worked wonders here with a cooler, late vintage. My bottle was disgorged in September 2019 with five g/L.Tasted: 23 December 2022Tasted by: Prices:
