Anciano 35-Year Old Vines Garnacha 2020

Calatayud, Aragon, SpainThese garnacha vines, aged 35 years, come from Calatayud's chalk / clay soils at 600-900m. After destemming and a short maceration, the wine was aged in American and French oak for 4 months. Ripe and dried plum, raspberry leather, worked leather fill a juicy full-bodied palate, with softly sticky tannins taking this to a medicinal-edged end. Fantastic value here, and one to think of with roast veg / lamb.Tasted: 01 November 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
