Terralux Syrah 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine continues to impress down the road in the bottle and was a pleasure to taste again. It was at once consumer-friendly when released and remains a comfortable red with an enticing smoky, earthy, cracked pepper nose. The tannins are dense but refined, setting the stage for a soft, round, flavoured red packed with black fruit and dusted in classic animal notes. Grill some lamb and drink this wine. You will not be disappointed. The 2018 Syrah is sourced from the Black Sage Bench in Oliver. The fermentation is made with indigenous yeasts at ambient temperature. It is gently pressed with a traditional basket press and matured for 14 months in French barriques.
