Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2018 showed well at the highly critical National Wine Awards, taking home a silver medal. It remains consumer friendly with an inviting smoky, earthy, cracked pepper nose. The entry is soft and round with rich black fruit, black pepper, and a touch of meaty animal notes. The tannins are well managed; if anything, the intensity drops off through the finish, with a little less structure and more drinkability, making it fun to drink now.
