Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRetasted early this summer, but I’m afraid the inaugural chardonnay release from West Kelowna’s Terralux Estate Winery is far too oxidized to be in the marketplace. The colour is light gold, with evident oxidized peach and honey notes underlying a full, nutty finish. It is concentrated and rich enough in flavours but with no sense of freshness. Wait for the next one. This is an exciting winery with lots of potential, and recently, the arrival of winemaker Jack Kemp will end any wines like this.
