Sardinia, ItalySella Mosca makes this wine at its 650-hectare estate in Sardegna. The mix of Mediterranean scrub and vineyards, one of the largest in Europe, is the perfect home for cannonau. It is the most widely planted varietal in Sardegna and at Sella Mosca; it is gently pressed and fermented before ageing for one year in large neutral oak. It is the perfect vessel to give this grenache the respect it deserves allowing it to carry the day with its silky texture and soft, wild raspberry flavours dressed with a hit of dried herbs and wild meaty floral aromas.
