Phantom Creek Estates Viognier 2020
Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom a small block off Golden Mile Bench's Kobau Vineyard, this was native fermented and aged in French casks on lees. The combo of the sun-stroked site and the golden wood treatment yields this richer, creamy, polished viognier, feeling much weightier than its 13.2% (and its extra heavy bottle). Glossy guava, honeysuckle, lush pear, and fragrant white peach glides across the silken palate, slightly tightened with orange peel, and subtly kissed with jasmine and ginger.
