Inglenook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Rutherford, Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe wine is a blend of blocks grown on the estate in the heart of the Rutherford Bench and on the famed Pritchard Hill. The magic is the magnetic intensity of this wine. Opaque in colour, it is awash in ripe black fruits streaked with coffee, cedar, and a faint hint of eucalyptus. Round and savoury, you can drink it now, but I recommend cellaring this cabernet for 7-10 years and allowing it to reach its zenith. The final blend is 95/3.5/1/.5 cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and petit verdot, aged in 43 percent new French oak. Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon is a tribute to John Daniel Jr., who produced the famous Inglenook 1941. The modern day version is made with organically farmed estate fruit. 2018 was an excellent year, and the crop was described as generous. A home run for consumers and producers.Tasted: 04 October 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $149.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Trialto Wine Group |
