Indigenous World Simo 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSimo, pronounced See-Moo, is the signature Bordeaux blend made at Indigenous World. Winemaker Jason Parkes has worked magic with this outstanding red, made in small lots and aged for 44 months at the winery. The blend is merlot led, mixed with cabernet sauvignon from the Okanagan Valley. Parkes has retained the balance and vibrancy of the vintage and used it to ignite a bouquet of black raspberries, leather, and vanilla that spill onto a lively palate with more of the same streaked with licorice and pepper. It is complex and elegant, which is no easy task. However, it is another example of why you should hunt for 2016 BC reds.Tasted: 06 October 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
