D'Angelo Sette Coppa 2017
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Setta Coppa blend contains all five historic Bordeaux varieties: merlot cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, and petit verdot. The nose is mature offering dried leaves and balsamic notes. The attack is powerful with rich black fruit, licorice, sagebrush, and dark chocolate. It has that mid-valley freshness to keep it lively before the dense tannins kick in across the finish. It would appear to be on track for a minimum of ten years in the bottle of ageing. A little old style but certainly capable at the table with a classic beef Wellington or braised lamb stew.Tasted: 18 October 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $30.70 | 750ml | winery direct |
