Sicily, ItalyAlthough shy and restrained on the nose, offering pear lifted by lime blossom and dried herbs, the palate is more generous, with riper, more defined fruit that takes on a honeyed edge. Rich and oily in texture, this has soft acidity that is balanced by the high level of dry extract, which is providing the structure to this wine. An exciting discovery, especially for those seeking alternatives to Rhône whites.Tasted: 02 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
Sicily, ItalyA blend of catarratto, pinot bianco, sauvignon blanc, traminer aromaticom and moscato, this is lightly reductive and closed when just opened, but it evolves later in the glass showing a more pronounced orange peel and white peach nose layered with orchard blossoms. On the palate, the fruit tastes sweeter with a hint of tropical nuances. The savoury leesy character, along with herbal notes, adds complexity. It finishes with lingering pleasant almond bitterness and saline minerality. Lean and sleek and tightly structured, it's quite a stylish white.Tasted: 17 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
