Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTasted side by side against 2017, this wine is darker in colour and more intense on the nose. The fruit came from the Golden Mile Bench and was aged 24 months in 40 percent new French oak barrels, followed by 18 months in the bottle before release. The attack is aromatic and intense, with a lifted cassis aroma. It mixes very ripe blackberries, dark plums and mocha flavours through a spicy finish — a blast from the past. The tannins are negligible, suggesting you can drink this now with pleasure.
