Scorched Earth Reserve Syrah 2016

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSourced from the Black Sage Bench, this 2016 Reserve Syrah is a current release from Scorched Earth, a new-to-me winery in Kelowna. It's drinking at a lovely spot, benefiting from the time in bottle, with a generous nose of macerated blackberries, sagebrush, and savoury spices. There's a beautiful balance between ripeness and freshness, a hallmark of the 2016 vintage, but with a polish and thoughtfulness to the winemaking that takes this to another level. A project to watch, clearly.Tasted: 22 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
